Choosing the Gender
The desire for choosing the gender of your baby has been the frequent dream of hopeful mothers and fathers for thousands of years. We all have fantasies and preconceptions about what it would be like to raise that perfect little boy or girl.

These approaches are based on many different factors. Many programs are based on the well-known theory that the human male produces two types of sperm -- sperm with the X-chromosome that will create a female baby and sperm with the Y-chromosome that will create a male baby. From there, the approaches begin to vary. In some methods, the female sperm is considered to be slower but hardier than the male sperm, so timing of sex becomes most important in order to influence which sperm arrives at the egg first. In other plans, the Ph levels of the female vs. the male sperm are considered paramount, and nutritional directions are provided to influence the Ph level of the mother's womb. Still another method for choosing the gender of your baby, known as "sperm spinning," utlizes a technique for separating male and female sperm and then introducing only the desired sperm gender into the mother through artificial insemination. Finally, we've all heard the many old wives tales that are purported to help in choosing or predicting the gender of your baby.
